For all your practical OpenGL needs, the "colored books" make a great resource. Online versions of the books are available as well, although they are relatively dated compared to the published versions:

The red and orange books contain numerous useful code samples. For Mac OS X programmers out there, I have packaged these examples as XCode 2.2 projects:
