Group Slider Documentation

The group slider widget has been built as a Visual Basic control component, and can be dropped into any standard VB application. In order to allow collaboration across a network, it requires a shared dictionary to be running. To install the shared dictionary components, visit the University of Calgary GroupLab website. Run the Shared Dictionary Server Monitor program and start up a new server process - in this case we use the name "ShDict", so the slider widget will have to connect to the "ShDict" process.

The inspector window allows us to view all the group slider widget users connected to the shared dictionary, as well as keys, notifications, and their respective values sent to the server.
